Spanish Language





Cuba is governed by the Constitution of 1976, amended later, that defined to the country like a "socialist State of workers and countrymen", in as the powers belong to the proletariado one. The Cuban Communist Party (PCC) is the only legal party. The legislative power is exerted by the National Assembly of the popular power (589 members chosen by five years by universal suffrage), that maintains two sessions annual and chooses the Council of State. This one last one is formed by a president, six vice-presidents and a secretary. The Assembly also names a Cabinet, main administrative body.

Fidel I castrate, the maximum leader, first secretary of the Cuban communist Party, president of the Council of State and of the Cabinet, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has designated like successor to his brother, Raul I castrate, second secretary of the Party and first vice-president of both Advice.

The Spanish is the official language of Cuba but, like in all the countries of Latin America, they include vocabulary of African or Indian origin.
